2011 had to hold its own after the two previous outstanding vintages. The weather conditions were very distinct, with a toasty spring causing exceptionally early flowering in mid-May.
It was first very dry in summer and then humid in early August to return to great heat in early September. The outcome is a wine of beautiful concentration unveiling a remarkable freshness.
